First shots with my Agfa Paramat

I just got my first test roll back from the photo shop. I haven't shot color half frame 35mm in like.... well, ever. So, I guess I hadn't thought about whether the photo shop would be able to print it correctly or not. I guess the answer is not. They printed my photos 2-up - as if they were printing standard 35mm photos. Not really a big deal except I can see that the machine had problems correctly adjusting the exposure to handle two different photographs with a black stripe down the center.

Anyway, it was just a test to see if the camera works, and I'm happy to say that it works quite well. When I shoot b&w, it won't be a problem for me to print what I want. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the auto exposure is working quite nicely. The only complaints that I can list about the camera are:

1) No strap lugs. Someone should be beaten over that. The strap was designed into the case, not the camera. That makes it difficult to carry.

2) The shutter release is on the front of the body, making it a little too easy to shake the camera when tripping the shutter.

Aside from that, I like the camera very much. It's in great condition and works very well for a camera built in 1963.
